Vogue V.O. (Icaro SA x Quina VO)

Lusitano mare, 15'1 hands , born in 2001 at Coudelaria Ilha Verde in Brazil, she is the daughter of the famous Icaro (Yacht) and Quina V.O. Vogue was approved for breeding with one of the highest score given by the APSL, 79.5 points. There are currently only 5, still living, stallions in the world with a score above 80 points, so we're very proud to have a mare with such a score! She represents the very typical Lusitano mare. Vogue is registered with IALHA, ABPSL and APSL.

Vogue comes from the Andrade bloodlines, powerful riding horses, often larger, with a rounded croup and whose head profile is straight to occasionally slightly convex. They have very functional gaits, which allow them to excel in dressage, working equitation or in bullfighting.

They are brave and strong horses, they are eager to work and submit easily to the desire of their riders. Icaro, Vogue's father is a son of the famous Yacht, considered one of the best stallions that Portugal has known. Icaro has produced several champions in Portugal and Brazil (Vulgar, Laranja, and Hino), while himself was 5 times champion in dressage and a champion to the functionality test in Brazil.

Vogue is a very versatile mare, a calm temperament; she has a balanced canter, a very good step, a light and elastic trot without any paddling movement. She has competed in dressage up to level 1 and also a season in eventing. She also had three foals so far.

She will be bred to our stallion for a foal Bravario in the summer of 2012; there is the possibility to book the foal in-utero, contact us for more details!
